Holistic Healing for Joint Pain Relief
Defined Tag: Joint Pain Relief. Joint pain attacks every aspect of your life, from the time you get up until the time you lie down again, and everything in between. Simple activities like sitting down or kneeling become painful. Joint pain relief becomes something you desire on a daily basis. But medications for joint pain relief are often expensive, and they can have nasty side effects. As if that wasn't enough, they can also be strongly habit forming, sometimes to the point of addiction. But in the face of daily pain, what other options are there? Are there any? Holistic healing says there are. Holistic healing has several alternative treatments for joint pain relief. It's important to remember, when looking for alternative sources of treatment for joint pain relief, that not every treatment will work for you. Unlike medication, which claims to be able to blanket treat joint pain no matter who you are, holistic healing is very much tailored towards treating individual pain in individual people. If one method doesn't work for you, I strongly encourage you to try a different method, or, to some extent, "mix 'n' match" different methods (for example, blending herbs and acupuncture). Creating a method of joint pain relief that works for you, as an individual, is a large part of holistic healing, but it tends to discourage some people, who, perhaps, expect herbs or creams to work like medicine. It doesn't; you have to find the method that's right for you, and that sometimes means trial and error. Various holistic methods of joint pain relief include herbs (see an herbalist or consult a reliable book, most notably Jethro Kloss's "Back to Eden" for a list of herbs that ease joint pain, and how to use them), cremes, especially lard (or Crisco) infused with red pepper capiscum, for pain relief due to arthritis, and acupuncture. One important thing to remember; certain herbal remedies can be dangerous when combined with modern medicine. Discuss any herbs you're taking with your doctor if you're also taking any kind of prescription medication, of any kind, and also, discuss any medications you're taking with your herbalist. If you're concerened about the effects of medicines and herbs together, or if you can't find a reliable herbalist, try acupuncture or cremes, or herbal poultices rather than herbal infusions. Any of these can be safely used with other medicines.
